FORA DA LEI

Cowboy Fora da Lei is a collaborative EP by Xandy NoBeat and DJZERO62, shaped by the spirit of the Goiano backlands.
The project blends house, electronic dance music, funk, afro–house, and experimental structures with iconic fragments of Brazilian culture—sampling legendary vocals from Raul Seixas’ Cowboy Fora da Lei, the reference that informed the EP’s name.

The work seeks to articulate a new frontier for funk in Goiás, where the genre remains almost nonexistent.
Its aim is to merge electronic experimentation with country sensibilities and raw, regional energy—establishing a sound that refuses standard formulas.
The title reflects this stance: our funk follows no rules; it exists outside expected patterns, shaped by the independence and resistance of the interior.

The new Cowboy Fora da Lei EP was tested and proven in a 5,000–person set in the capital of Goiás, where Xandy NoBeat and DJZERO62 debuted the project in a high–energy B2B performance. The crowd reaction validated the EP’s raw, hybrid sound—combining electronic pressure, funk structure, and the rural force of the Goiano backlands.

The night marked a defining moment for the project, revealing a sonic identity that speaks as loudly as the culture it represents. Widely regarded as the most original and marginal Goiano release to date, Cowboy Fora da Lei positions itself as the strongest and most authentic album ever born from the state’s underground.

RAW ENERGY
FROM THE
GOIANO
UNDERGROUND

The Cowboy Fora da Lei project presents the identity of Xandy NoBeat & DJZERO62 in its rawest form—hybrid, electronic, and charged with the spirit of the Goiano backlands.
Every aesthetic choice, from distorted rhythms to root–driven sampling, reinforces the EP’s ethos: sonic rebellion, full experimentation, and a refusal to follow any established standard.
It affirms an identity built through collision—between electronic music, funk, country influence, and the cultural weight of Goiás.
